A. History.
B. Management of the wound :
1. Thorough washing of the wound with much 20% shoap water solution for at least 15 minutes
2. Damaged tissue should be excised.
3. The wound should not be sutured.
C. Specific management :- Immediate vaccination of the patient with cell culture rabies vaccine Recently Bangladesh government has luchid service to the dog bite patent of cell culture rabies vaccine (Rabipur). The vaccine are usually given immediately after bite within 2 days 0, 3, 7, 28 days.
Incase of major exposure (including licks of mucosa, minor bites on arm, trunk, or legs or major bite or multiple bites) immediate rabies immunoglobulin (passive immunization) should be given.
